Quieet January, busy February
Tuesday, 24 January 2012

As we begin a new year I want to wish you all God's very best in the way of blessings. January has been a time of rest so far, although I am still writing a weekly news column for Ransom Canyon, for the Slatonite newspaper. That means I need to attend Council meetings, and POA meetings. But I am not complaining as I find them interesting. February starts off with a book signing at Hastings on 82nd and Slide, February 4th. The next Saturday I will be the guest speaker at the Lubbock Roundtable meeting on the 14th. Then I'll be speaking at the Christian Women's Club and giving my testimony. Next on the schedule is on the 25th, where we have a book signing at Barnes and Noble. For those of you who have the Wake of the Golden Gryphon, I think you can now turn to the back of the book and find directions on how you can access this in the Audio format, and download it to your PC. A very nice free bonus for buying the book. The audio book for the rest of the world should be available soon. Speaking of audio, nothing cuts an athor's heart out like doing an abridged version of the book for recording purposes. They tell you to cut 25% from the number of words; 25% of your blood, sweat, and tears cut out. I just finished doing it agbain for my newly reprinted novel, Murder in Shades of Gray. Another bloodletting! Thus, as one thinks about it, it was a good month to have these things to work on. I have another novel nearly finished. I call it "Vilgilante Chronicles." My first attempt at a science fiction novel is at the editor now. Its titled, "Sins of the Fathers." That was a tough one for me. I lack the necesary imagination, but it was written at the request of a dear friend, so I took the challenge. That's about the extent of my news. Changing the suject radically, I find that I am near to going screaming into the night because of the constant barrage of political news. I detest politics, the ad campaigns, the smear tactics, the mud throwing, you name it and I hate it. I try to stay positive, but in reality, I think this is the most important election since I have been alive. There are 15 thrillion resasons for lacking optimism. How I yearn for a real, and I mean real leader. I pray that God will step in and save us because of the believers that reside in this now Pagan nation. I try and use Abraham's locic when he asked the Lord if he would spare Sodom if 50 righteous were found there. I know its weak but what can I say? Hang in there veryone We can make it together! Blessings Lyle.
